Recognized globally as Thailand’s top dive site, Richelieu Rock was reportedly a personal favorite of the legendary Jacques Cousteau. Its breathtaking ecosystem is so captivating that liveaboard tours routinely schedule several dives to to fully experience the location..

Site features & Topography.

The Pinnacle: The site is defined by a horseshoe-shaped rock formation that peeks just one meter above the surface at low tide and vanishes completely at high tide.
Coral Abundance: Named by Cousteau himself, Richelieu Rock owes its title to the flourishing purple coral fields that evoke the iconic robes of the famous French Cardinal. It boasts the densest and most vibrant concentration of soft corals found anywhere in Thailand.

Marine life.

Richelieu Rock is an absolute paradise for underwater photographers. Its rich ecosystem includes:

Macro & rare species: Nudibranches, Ghost pipefish, Harlequin shrimp, Frog fish and Seahorses.
Schools of Barracudas, Emperor fish, and Giants trevally.
Giants: Manta Ray and Whale sharks frequently make appearances during their migration.

DAY TRIP - RICHELIEU ROCK

Experience one of the world's top dive sites with our seamless full-day excursion. Whether you are staying in Phuket or Khao Lak, we have organized every detail for your comfort and safety.

Morning:

• 06:00 AM – Departure from Phuket:

Our comfortable, air-conditioned minivan will pick you up directly from your hotel in the Phuket area.

Note: For guests staying in the Khao Lak area, pick-up times are scheduled later in the morning.

Enjoy a quick breakfast stop during the transfer to Khao Lak to fuel up for the day.

• 08:00 AM – Speedboat transfer:

Upon arrival at the pier in Khao Lak, you will board our speedboat for a 2-hour transfer across the turquoise waters to reach the main dive boat stationed at Richelieu Rock.

The Diving Experience:

• 10:00 AM - Arrival & Briefing:

Once onboard the dive boat, you will receive a professional briefing on the site's unique topography and marine life.

• Dive 1: Explore the vibrant purple corals and diverse ecosystem of Richelieu Rock.

• Hot Lunch & Relaxation: A freshly prepared hot meal is served on board between dives. Relax on the deck and enjoy the stunning marine views.

• Dive 2: Head back into the water for a second immersion to discover even more of this legendary site.

Afternoon:

• 03:00 PM – Departure by Speedboat & Land Transfer:

After a 2 hours speedboat ride back to Khao Lak, your minivan will be waiting.

• To Phuket: A 2hours drive back to your hotel (arriving early evening).

• To Khao Lak: A quick 30 minutes transfer for local residents and guests.

❌ Underwater photos and/or videos. (But they can be requested from the diving staff on board, with charges.)
❌ TIP (Crew and/or Instructor).
❌ Marine National Park fees are collected directly by the park rangers on the dive boat and must be paid by cash.

Please be aware that your day trip /diving course and dates will only be secured when you have paid the amount of the deposit (40% full price) at the day of the booking and confirmed by email.

Minus diving certification agency fees (e-learning), diving insurance subscription trough our company, any bank charges, credit card charges and any exchange rate losses if any incurred,

Cancellations received 7 days or more before the first day trip/diving course are eligible for a full deposit refund,
Cancellations between 7 days and 4 days before commencement of first day trip / diving course are eligible for a 50% deposit refund.

You can postpone to the next available day trip / diving course. (2 months)

Full price balance must be paid 5 days before commencement of first day trip / diving course to confirm it.

Only if full price has been paid, cancellations between 4 and 2 days before commencement of first day trip / diving course are eligible for a 30% refund.
No refund 48 hours or less before commencement of the first day trip / diving course.

⏰ If you show up later than the agreed time on your booking form, you will need to make your own arrangements to meet the dive boat but, in the interest of other customers,

we cannot delay the boat departure time. The cost of your missed trip cannot be refunded. You are responsible for any costs incurred.
