REFRESHER COURSES
Simple steps for a safe return
If you have been out of the water for a while, take the time to assess your health and fitness, refresh your skills and equipment, and review your travel plans before your next dives.
Period of inactivity
Personal responsibilities, illnesses and injuries, global health risks, wars or oil cost travel disruptions, and other factors can prevent divers from getting in the water. While the key steps for resuming diving remain consistent, the focus may differ based on the reasons for the hiatus.
If your absence was due to twists and turns in your life journey, and you are still healthy and fit, you will want to focus on your skills and equipment. If you were out because of illness or injury, a review of your health will be crucial.
Affected by an illness or injury kept you away?
While acute illnesses can prevent you from diving, even a cold might temporarily keep you out of the water. Some conditions, however, could impact your physical activity for an extended period or even permanently. If you've experienced a severe illness or have a chronic condition it's important to consult your physician before planning your return to diving.
How does inactivity affect your return to diving?
Diving requires special skills learned during training and maintained through practice. The saying “Use it or lose it” is especially true in diving. Skills can begin to decline after just six months of inactivity. Most dive educators and instructors consider inactivity of one to two years typically necessitates refresher training.
We understand that your time is valuable, and that’s why our REFRESHER programs take place on during a scuba diving day trip.
No need to consider it a time-waster; we combine skill refreshing with the excitement of exploring Koh Racha Yai and Koh Racha Noi.
To accommodate your schedule, our refresher courses incorporate an eLearning component that enables you to prepare for the course at home, thereby you can free up more time and energy during your day on the boat
Upon successfully completing the course, you will receive a digital recognition card.
